QR codes are just encoded data. Celestia Tools keeps generation local and never opens decoded links automatically.
What can I create?
Plain text, web links, and Wi-Fi credentials. Generated codes use QR error-correction level M and can be exported as PNG or SVG.
What happens to Wi-Fi passwords?
The password is encoded directly into the QR code because that is how Wi-Fi QR codes work. Celestia Tools does not upload or persist the value.
How does image decoding work?
When the browser provides local QR detection, the selected image is decoded on-device. Unsupported browsers show that limitation before you choose a file. Images are capped at 20 MB and 40 megapixels to avoid unreasonable resource use.
Will a decoded link open automatically?
No. Decoded QR contents are always shown as text first. Nothing navigates, opens, or executes without your explicit action outside the toolkit.
Why might a QR image fail to decode?
Low contrast, blur, perspective distortion, very small modules, or a browser without QR detection support can prevent decoding. A tighter crop or clearer source image may help.
